He married twice. He married Mary Baskett in Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia, 26 Aug 1692.⁽⁸²⁰⁾ Mary is the daughter of John Baskett and Elizabeth (Wife Of John Baskett) Unkn. He married Elizabeth Baldwin in Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia, 31 Oct 1710.⁽⁸²¹⁾ Elizabeth is the daughter of William Baldwin and Margaret Cook.

Henry Tugwell and Mary Baskett had the following children:

7 i. Mary³ Tuggle was born 22 Sep 1693. She married Jonathan Brooks in Middlesex, Virginia, 27 Jan 1708.

8 ii. Lucretia Tuggle was born about 1694. Lucretia died 16 Dec 1730 at 36 years of age. She married twice. She married Joseph Goare 16 Feb 1708. She married John Crockford 22 Nov 1728.

9 iii. Elizabeth Tuggle was born about 1696.⁽⁸²²⁾ She married Henry Ball 23 Aug 1722. Henry died 21 Nov 1735.

10 iv. Martha Tuggle was born about 1698. She married George Chowning 19 Oct 1721. George was born 16 Feb 1688. George died 1 Apr 1744 at 56 years of age.

+ 11 v. Henry Tuggle Jr. was born about 1699.

12 vi. Frances Tuggle was born 17 Aug 1702. Frances died 21 Feb 1731 at 28 years of age. She married William Mansfield 21 Jan 1724.

13 vii. John Tuggle was born 5 Nov 1704. John died 1759 at 54 years of age. He married Catherine Kelly 8 Oct 1725.

14 viii. Judith Tuggle was born about 1710. She married William Baldwin 8 Apr 1729. William died 26 Jul 1736.

Henry Tugwell and Elizabeth Baldwin had the following children:

15 ix. Joseph Tuggle was born about 1711. Joseph died about 1745.

16 x. Rachel Tuggle was born 8 Aug 1715. Rachel died 27 Mar 1747 at 31 years of age. She married John Chowning 3 Oct 1732. John was born 27 Aug 1707.

+ 17 xi. Thomas Tuggle III was born 25 Jan 1717.

18 xii. Ann Tuggle was born 8 Jun 1720. Ann died Apr 1760 at 39 years of age.

19 xiii. Benjamin Tuggle was born 20 Aug 1721. Benjamin died 1749 at 27 years of age.

20 xiv. William Tuggle was born 28 May 1725. William died 1 Nov 1751 at 26 years of age.
